Volleyball Recap: Garner Find Success

Garner's tournament run continued when they took on Petrolia on Thursday. The Longhorns walked away with a 2-0 win over the Pirates.

Makayla Gonzalez paced Garner's offense, picking up 12 kills. Gonzalez got some help from Kaylin Long and her 11 assists. Long also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Abigayle Canada, racking up two apiece.

Garner's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Petrolia, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Garner wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Midway on the 21st. As for Petrolia, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Victory Christian Academy on the 21st.
