Preview: Litchfield Purple Panthers vs. Taylorville Tornadoes
After two games on the road, Litchfield is heading back home. They will take on the Taylorville Tornadoes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Thursday, Litchfield came up short against East Alton-Wood River and fell 58-51.
The losing side was boosted by Emma Diveley, who scored 23 points along with two steals. That was a full 45.1% of Litchfield's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Chloe Law was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with four steals.
Taylorville has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell to Highland 56-51. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Taylorville in their matchups with Highland: they've now lost three in a row.
