Softball Game Preview: Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors vs. Hill Falcons

Yerba Buena is 1-9 against Hill since May of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Aztec Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Falcons at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Yerba Buena is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game on Friday. They lost 23-9 to Mt. Pleasant. That's two games in a row now that the Aztec Warriors have lost by exactly 14 runs.

Meanwhile, Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Lincoln, falling 18-1.

Yerba Buena's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Yerba Buena might still be hurting after the 19-4 loss they got from Hill when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Aztec Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
