Softball Game Preview: Carthage Comets vs. Watertown Cyclones

Carthage is on a six-game streak of home losses, and Watertown a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Carthage Comets will look to defend their home field against the Watertown Cyclones at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Friday, Carthage didn't have quite enough to beat Sandy Creek and fell 6-5.

Meanwhile, Watertown came up short against Sandy Creek on Thursday, falling 15-2.

Watertown's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Carthage, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

Everything went Carthage's way against Watertown in their previous meeting on May 1st, as Carthage made off with a 16-7 win. Will the Comets repeat their success, or do the Cyclones have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
