Baseball Recap: Durant Triumphs

Durant never let their opponents score on Friday. They came out on top against the Davenport West Falcons by a score of 3-0. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 8-4 win the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Seamus Devine was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Cohen Kilker also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Durant and bumps their season record up to 7-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Davenport West, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Durant will take on Tipton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Davenport West, they will head out to square off against Clinton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
