Baseball Game Preview: Clark Cougars vs. Brandeis Broncos

For the second straight game, Clark will face off against Brandeis. The Cougars will welcome the Broncos at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Clark hasn't scored more than a single run for four games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Clark fell victim to Brandeis and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Broncos, falling 10-0.

For Brandeis' part, not much got past Tanner Hallmark, who gave up just four hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Clark off the board.

On the hitting side, Sean Ramos was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Grayson Hallmark, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Brandeis has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Clark, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.
