Baseball Recap: New Castle Takes a Loss

New Castle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Pendleton Heights Arabians, falling 17-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Arabians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 24-0 last Tuesday.

New Castle saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Hancock, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.

New Castle's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Pendleton Heights, the win keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, New Castle will square off against Lawrence Central at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pendleton Heights, they will face off against Hamilton Southeastern at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
