Baseball Game Preview: Bald Knob Bulldogs vs. Pangburn Tigers

The Bald Knob Bulldogs will square off against the Pangburn Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bald Knob has three straight victories, Pangburn has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

While Bald Knob's win against Bradford wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Bald Knob had just enough and edged out Bradford 9-8 on Monday.

John ?Cooper? Busselle made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Busselle was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Gavin Mitsunaga was incredible, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 3-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dakota Shoebottom, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-5.

Meanwhile, Pangburn came up short against Central Arkansas Christian on Saturday, falling 13-1.

Bald Knob's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Pangburn, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
