Basketball Recap: Douglas Comes Up Short

Douglas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the Rapid City Central Cobblers, falling 55-24. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 64-25 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Douglas' loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Rapid City Central, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-17.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Douglas will head out to challenge Sturgis Brown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rapid City Central, they will venture away from home to square off against Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
