Soccer Game Preview: McArthur vs. Chaminade-Madonna

The McArthur Mustangs will square off against the Chaminade-Madonna Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. McArthur's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Having struggled with seven losses in a row, McArthur turned things around against Hollywood Hills on Friday. Neither they nor the Spartans could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked the Mustangs' first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, Chaminade-Madonna brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. Their defense stepped up to hand Somerset Prep a 5-0 shutout on Wednesday. Considering the Lions' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Chaminade-Madonna's victory bumped their record up to 3-4-1. McArthur's draw makes their record 3-14-1 this season.
