Basketball Recap: Onekama Piles Up the Points Against Leland

Onekama won the last time they faced Leland and things went their way on Friday too. The Onekama Portagers blew past the Leland Comets 56-20. That 36 point margin sets a new team best for the Portagers this season.

Onekama's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.5 points per game. As for Leland, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Coincidentally, Onekama and Leland will both be playing Traverse City Christian the next time they take the court. Onekama will host Traverse City Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025, while Leland will host them at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
