Basketball Game Preview: Fort Jennings Musketeers vs. Jefferson Wildcats

The Fort Jennings Musketeers will head out to take on the Jefferson Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Fort Jennings will head into Saturday's game out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 58-25 loss at the hands of Patrick Henry. The Musketeers' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jefferson). They blew past Waynesfield-Goshen 74-45 on Saturday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Wildcats with their most commanding win of the season.

Fort Jennings' defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-6. As for Jefferson, their victory bumped their record up to 5-12.

Fort Jennings beat Jefferson 64-51 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fort Jennings since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
