The Sunlake Seahawks will head out to face off against the Osceola Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sunlake will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Sunlake proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by eight) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Lecanto 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Seahawks have posted since March 14th.

Sydney Walker and Madison Siders dominated on the mound. Walker tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits, while Siders tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Walker has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lilly Lyons, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Zoey Cropper also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Osceola never got on the board in their matchup on Wednesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Boca Ciega last Friday. They blew past the Pirates 10-0. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won 12 contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Theresa Diez was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI. Brooke Hall was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and one triple.

Osceola always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Boca Ciega only posted an OBP of .211.

Sunlake's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Osceola, their record is now 15-6.

Both Sunlake and Osceola just can't seem to miss. The Seahawks have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.1 hits per game. However, it's not like Osceola struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.7 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Sunlake couldn't quite get it done against Osceola in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 8-3. Can the Seahawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
