Recap: Manchester Blue Devils vs. Clinch County Panthers
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Manchester Blue Devils walked away with it. They secured a 21-17 W over the Panthers on Friday. The win was familiar territory for Manchester who now have four in a row.
Leading Manchester to victory were Darius Favors and Qua Cooper. Favors rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, while Cooper rushed for 114 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.
Despite the loss, Clinch County still got an impressive performance from Aaron Bryant, who rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns. Bryant is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played.
Manchester's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.7 points per game. As for Clinch County, their defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-2.
Manchester is on the road again on Friday and play against Telfair County at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. Telfair County's defense has only allowed 13.8 points per game this season, so Manchester's offense will have their work cut out for Manchester. Clinch County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
