Basketball Game Preview: Venice Indians vs. Booker Tornadoes

Venice and Booker are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Venice Indians will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Booker Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Wednesday, Venice came up short against Sarasota and fell 75-66. The loss continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Sailors: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Booker didn't have too much trouble with Lakewood Ranch on Thursday as they won 79-60. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tornadoes.

Venice better keep an eye on J.P Lattimore. He was instrumental in Booker's win, putting up 32 points. The dominant performance gave Lattimore a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaiden Wright, who posted 13 points.

Booker's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-10. As for Venice, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
