Baseball Recap: Lone Oak Comes Up Short

Lone Oak kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolfe City Wolves. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 18 in a row.

The win made it two in a row for Wolfe City and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Lone Oak will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Miller Grove at 1:40 p.m. on March 8th. As for Wolfe City, they will head out to challenge Leonard at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
