Baseball Recap: Central Cabarrus Comes Up Short

Central Cabarrus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 11-0 to the Carson Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-3 back in February.

Central Cabarrus saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Fink, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Bryson Pate also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Central Cabarrus' defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Carson, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Central Cabarrus will challenge rival East Rowan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Carson is set to take on their familiar foe West Rowan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cougars 3.7, the Falcons 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
