Soccer Recap: Monroe Extends Winning Streak to Three

Monroe proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the East Troy Trojans, sneaking past 2-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Monroe also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Nelson Lux Garcia and Brock Brandli scored both of Monroe's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

The win (which was Monroe's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those three matchups. As for East Troy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Monroe will face off against Denmark at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday. As for East Troy, they will square off against Evansville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
