Baseball Game Preview: Covenant Christian Cougars vs. West Houston HomeSchool Thunder

The Covenant Christian Cougars will face off against the West Houston HomeSchool Thunder at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Covenant Christian and three for West Houston HomeSchool.

On Monday, Covenant Christian came up short against Tomball Kings and fell 9-5.

Meanwhile, West Houston HomeSchool lost 14-5 to San Antonio HomeSchool on Friday.

Gabe Sanford made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jhett Gregory, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Even though they lost, West Houston HomeSchool was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .471. This was only their first loss (out of three games) when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Covenant Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for West Houston HomeSchool, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.
