Bernards had won eight straight games and Logan Stevens did his part to make it nine on Friday. The Mountaineers were the clear victors by a 22-0 margin over the Carteret Ramblers for which the team can thank Stevens, who rushed for 196 yards and three TDs on only eight carries, and also picked up 35 receiving yards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 106.4 rushing yards per game.

Bernards didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Aj Byreddy and Stevens.

Bernards' win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Carteret, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Bernards will square off against Madison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Carteret, they will face off against Kennedy Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
