Softball Recap: Seffner Christian Takes a Loss

Seffner Christian lost 12-6 to Canterbury on Thursday. Seffner Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Seffner Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allison Baston, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Mackenzie Redmon also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Even though they lost, Seffner Christian hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in three consecutive contests.

Seffner Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Canterbury, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7.

Seffner Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 4-2 victory against Seven Rivers Christian on the 14th. Canterbury will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bradenton Christian at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th.
