Viburnum extends home losing streak to 13

Recap: Viburnum Blue Jays vs. Eagle Ridge Christian Eagles
This season hasn't been kind to the Viburnum Blue Jays, who are still winless after their tenth contest. They took a 67-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eagle Ridge Christian on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Eagle Ridge Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Caleb Margrabe out in front who scored 20 points. Chase WIlliams was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Viburnum bumped their record down to 0-10 with that loss, which was their 13th straight at home. As for Eagle Ridge Christian, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Viburnum will take on Cuba at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Cuba presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Viburnum in Missouri (Cuba is ranked 271st, while Viburnum is ranked 562nd). Eagle Ridge Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Thomas Jefferson School at 6:30 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully Thomas Jefferson School focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 back in December of 2023.
