Baseball Recap: Cascade Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Cascade's offense. They came up short against the North Marion Huskies on Thursday, falling 18-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Cougars' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Cascade saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hans Kamm, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Cascade dropped their record down to 5-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for North Marion, their record is now 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cascade will host Sweet Home at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Huskies have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.93 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for North Marion, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Stayton at 5:00 p.m. on the 28th.
