Baseball Recap: Acton-Boxborough Takes a Loss

Acton-Boxborough fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Lowell on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Red Raiders by a score of 5-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Revolution in their meetings with the Red Raiders: they've now lost seven in a row.

Kyle Leite was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Acton-Boxborough's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Lowell, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Acton-Boxborough will square off against Concord-Carlisle at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lowell, they will challenge Andover at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Golden Warriors will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Red Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
