Volleyball Recap: Peru Beats Lake Placid for Their Third Straight Win + How To Watch

Peru had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Lake Placid on Tuesday. The Nighthawks were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bombers. The win was nothing new for the Nighthawks as they're now sitting on three straight.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-17, 25-13.

Natalia Gushlaw-Mirville paced Peru's offense, picking up eight kills. Gushlaw-Mirville really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with eight. Lily Siskavich controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Several Bombers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brooke Meyer, who had five kills, four digs, and one block. Meyer is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least five every time she's taken the court this season.

Peru's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Lake Placid, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Coincidentally, Peru and Lake Placid will both be playing Plattsburgh the next time they take the court. The Bombers will head out to face the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Nighthawks will host them at 6:00 p.m. on the 25th.
