Softball Recap: Lake Oswego Lakers vs. Gresham Gophers
It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Lake Oswego ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Gresham Gophers 6-5. While the Lakers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-23), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Ava Beach spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on seven hits. She also put up four walks, which were her first of the season.
