Basketball Game Preview: Southwest Guilford Cowboys vs. Southeast Guilford Falcons + Official Tickets

The Southwest Guilford Cowboys will venture away from home to face off against the Southeast Guilford Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Southwest Guilford proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 39) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 63-62 victory over East Surry.

Courtney Lee had an outrageously good game as she posted 15 points and six steals.

Meanwhile, Southeast Guilford didn't have too much trouble with Ragsdale last Friday as they won 54-38. The game marked the Falcons' most dominant win of the season so far.

Southeast Guilford's win came from a few key players Southwest Guilford will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Morgan Odom, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards. Her big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ally Shealy, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 rebounds.

Southeast Guilford smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January.

Southwest Guilford's record now sits at 2-0. As for Southeast Guilford, their record is now 3-1.

Southwest Guilford came up short against Southeast Guilford in their previous meeting back in January, falling 50-46. Can the Cowboys avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
