When it comes to explaining why Cypress Lake lost, one person who can't be blamed is Giordan Easely. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points along with five assists and three steals. That was a full 39.1% of Cypress Lake's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Reed, who scored seven points.
First Baptist Academy has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Cypress Lake, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-11.
First Baptist Academy will take on East Lee County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: East Lee County has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while First Baptist Academy will arrive with six straight wins. As for Cypress Lake, they will head out on the road to take on North Fort Myers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North Fort Myers has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 8.
