Volleyball Recap: St. Joseph Catholic Takes a Loss

St. Joseph Catholic and Pillow Academy squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but St. Joseph Catholic had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in August.

Molley Blackstone had an outrageously good game for Pillow Academy as she had 18 digs and two aces. Blackstone is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

St. Joseph Catholic has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Pillow Academy, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.

St. Joseph Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pillow Academy, they have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Jackson Prep on the 21st.
