Basketball Game Preview: Hanover Bears vs. Kingswood Knights

The Hanover Bears will venture away from home to take on the Kingswood Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hanover is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.

Last Tuesday, Hanover didn't have too much trouble with Kennett as they won 41-26.

Meanwhile, Kingswood was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 57-53 to Manchester West. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Blue Knights are ranked 17th).

Kingswood's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Hanover, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.

Everything came up roses for Hanover against Kingswood in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 50-14 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hanover since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
