Oregon has gone a perfect 4-0 against Ashton-Franklin Center recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. On the hitting side, Ella Dannhorn was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Abree Barker, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.
Oregon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Ashton-Franklin Center came up short against Milledgeville on Thursday, falling 13-1.
Ashton-Franklin Center saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Claire Freeman, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run. Another was Leah Obrien, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Oregon pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Ashton-Franklin Center, their loss dropped their record down to 2-19.
Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Oregon hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .347. However, it's not like Ashton-Franklin Center struggles in that department as they've averaged .330. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
