Baseball Recap: Seneca Comes Up Short

Seneca's last matchup with Normal University could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Monday. The Fighting Irish came up short against the Pioneers, falling 11-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Fighting Irish have suffered since March 21st.

This is the second loss in a row for Seneca and nudges their season record down to 3-10. As for Normal University, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seneca will square off against Fieldcrest at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Normal University, they will venture away from home to challenge Springfield Southeast at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pioneers are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
