Softball Recap: Canandaigua Academy Takes a Loss

Canandaigua Academy came into this matchup off a tough nine-run defeat on Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Spencerport Rangers by a score of 9-7 on Monday. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Canandaigua Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sarah Goodsell, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. Delilah Liddle also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Canandaigua Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Spencerport, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Canandaigua Academy will challenge rival Gates Chili at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Spencerport is set to square off against their familiar foe Brockport at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
