Volleyball Recap: Skyline Gets the Win

While Skyline's win against Gila Ridge wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Coyotes skirted past the Hawks 3-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Coyotes also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Skyline had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 18-25, 25-17, 25-21, 15-13.

Elianna Bancroft was nothing short of spectacular: she had 28 assists and two aces. Those 28 assists gave her a new career-high. Brianna Buxton was another key player, getting eight kills and three aces.

The victory made it two in a row for Skyline and bumps their season record up to 3-7. As for Gila Ridge, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-3.

Skyline didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Desert Ridge on the 11th. As for Gila Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Lake Havasu on the 10th.
