            Softball Recap: South Lakes Seahawks vs. Potomac Falls Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            South Lakes entered their tilt with Potomac Falls on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Panthers 11-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  7-1  last Monday.
 Meagan Maguire made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits (and only one walk). Maguire was even better at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in April of 2024.

 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Cassandra De La Cruz, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave  her a new career-high in  doubles (two).  Sofia Ponce also deserves some recognition as  she  brought in her first  RBI of the season.
 South Lakes  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least nine  hits in three consecutive  contests.
South Lakes' record is now 4-1. As for Potomac Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Lakes will venture away from home to  take on Dominion  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. South Lakes is facing Dominion at the right time seeing as Dominion is stuck on  a  five-game losing streak. As for Potomac Falls, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Heritage  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
