East Duplin waltzed into their match on Monday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They put the hurt on the Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in August, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-9, 25-20.

East Duplin was led to victory by Zoe Cavenaugh and Kinsey Cave. Cavenaugh had ten kills, eight digs, and five aces, while Cave had eight digs, seven kills, five aces, and four blocks. With that strong performance, Cave is now averaging an impressive 2.1 aces per game. Karsyn Parker was another key player, getting 15 digs.

They weren't the only good servers: East Duplin was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in seven consecutive matchups.

East Duplin's record is now 15-2. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, they moved to 15-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

East Duplin and Wallace-Rose Hill should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Panthers (ranked 69th) will meet Southwest Onslow (ranked 281st) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Wallace-Rose Hill will challenge Spring Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (87 vs. 603).
