Flag Football Game Preview: Highlands Ranch Falcons vs. Chaparral Wolverines

The Highlands Ranch Falcons will head out on the road to challenge the Chaparral Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Highlands Ranch has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with nine straight defeats, while Chaparral will come in with five straight victories.

On Saturday, Highlands Ranch came up short against Columbine and fell 20-7.

Meanwhile, Chaparral faced Rock Canyon in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Wolverines blew past the Jaguars 32-12. The result was nothing new for the Wolverines, who have now won three contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Highlands Ranch better keep an eye on Zoey Fink. She was instrumental in Chaparral's win, throwing for 425 yards and four TDs while completing 72.1% of her passes, and also rushing for 32 yards. Those 425 passing yards gave Fink a new career-high.

Chaparral didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Sydney Matthews and Chloe Petrillo were the leaders of the group effort as each produced two apiece.

Highlands Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Chaparral, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.

Highlands Ranch took a serious blow against Chaparral in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 33-6. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Fink, who threw for 227 yards and four touchdowns while completing 82.4% of her passes, and also rushed for 75 yards on only eight carries.
