Soccer Game Preview: Rice Consolidated vs. Wharton

Rice Consolidated is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to eight goals last Tuesday, they were much more limited against Bay City on Monday. They lost 5-0 to the Blackcats. The loss continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Blackcats: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Wharton came up short against Hallettsville on Tuesday, falling 6-1. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-0.

Rice Consolidated's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Wharton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.
