Volleyball Recap: Aberdeen Takes a Loss

Aberdeen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Nettleton Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

Aberdeen may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored zero points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Aberdeen's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Nettleton, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-11.

Aberdeen and Nettleton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings. The Bulldogs will square off against Winona at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (239 vs. 95). Meanwhile, Nettleton (ranked 85th) will meet East Union (ranked 14th) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
