Grandview and Mountain Vista squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Grandview had to settle for second. They took a hard 26-7 fall against the Golden Eagles. The Wolves' defeat signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.

Grandview didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brooke Sullivan and Aniya Coleman.

Ariana Akey continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Mountain Vista, throwing for 234 yards and four touchdowns, while also rushing for 101 yards on only ten carries. Akey is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: she's passed for at least three every time she's taken the field this season. Kayleigh Besch was Akey's top target, picking up 37 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Grandview's loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Mountain Vista, their victory bumped their record up to 17-0.

Grandview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mountain Vista, they will take on Ralston Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Golden Eagles 6.2, the Mustangs 9.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
