South Aiken is 5-0 against Brookland-Cayce since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The South Aiken Thoroughbreds will welcome the Brookland-Cayce Bearcats at 6:00 p.m. South Aiken has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Last Friday, South Aiken beat Midland Valley 45-36.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Aiken to victory, but perhaps none more so than A'Mya Robinson, who went 6 for 8 on her way to 13 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Robinson is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Myracle Culbreath, who went 5 of 9 en route to 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

South Aiken smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Brookland-Cayce was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 30-28 heartbreaker at the hands of Liberty.

South Aiken now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Brookland-Cayce, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.

South Aiken took their victory against Brookland-Cayce in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 52-26. Does South Aiken have another victory up their sleeve, or will Brookland-Cayce turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
