Basketball Recap: Osmond Comes Up Short

Osmond lost against Wynot back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Osmond Tigers took a blow against the Wynot Blue Devils, falling 48-21.

When it comes to explaining why Osmond lost, don't look at Kaleigh Miller. Despite the final result, she posted five points and ten rebounds. Miller is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last three games she's played.

Even though they lost, Osmond smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Osmond's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Wynot, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Osmond Tigers duke it out with the Winside Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wynot, they will challenge Bloomfield at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
