Softball Recap: Carrabec Cobras vs. Valley Cavaliers
Carrabec put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Valley Cavaliers as they made off with a 9-2 win. The Cobras might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Jillian Robinson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Carrabec let Karen Baker and Amiya Tibbetts run wild. Baker went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Tibbetts went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Tibbetts is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Josephine Scheve, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
