Recap: Mantachie Mustangs vs. Wheeler Eagles
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Belmont, the Mantachie Mustangs were happy to have found some success on Monday. They came out on top against Wheeler by a score of 42-29. For Mantachie, this counts as revenge for the 44-37 loss Wheeler walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2023.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Marley Garrett, who scored ten points. Aubree James was another key contributor, scoring two points.
Mantachie's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Wheeler, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
Mantachie won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Houston at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th. Wheeler won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Jumpertown at 4:00 p.m. on January 9th. Jumpertown is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
