Baseball Game Preview: Sterlington Panthers vs. Westlake Rams

The Sterlington Panthers will take on the Westlake Rams on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Sterlington comes in on 12 and Westlake on eight.

Sterlington is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand South Beauregard a 3-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, Westlake made sure to put some runs up on the board against Doyle on Friday. The Rams narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Tigers 10-9.

Westlake's victory bumped their record up to 27-10. As for Sterlington, their win bumped their record up to 30-5.

Sterlington got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 against Westlake by a conclusive 12-2 score. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
