East Bernard has gone 8-2 against Brazos recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The East Bernard Brahmas will venture away from home to face off against the Brazos Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

East Bernard will head into Tuesday's match on the come-up: they were handed a 28-point defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Van Vleck 46-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Brahmas have posted since February 13, 2024.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brazos). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Hempstead 79-37. The win was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on three straight.

Brazos' victory bumped their record up to 15-12. As for East Bernard, they have also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-14 record this season.

East Bernard didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Brazos in their previous matchup two weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 40-35 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Bernard since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
