Softball Recap: Byron-Bergen Takes a Loss

Byron-Bergen lost against Notre Dame back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bees fell 15-10 to the Fighting Irish. The Bees have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jillian Weaver stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Prinzi, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Byron-Bergen now has a losing record of 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Byron-Bergen will host Red Jacket at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Notre Dame, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Pembroke at 5:00 p.m.
