            The John Glenn Little Muskies will venture away from home to  square off against the Meadowbrook Colts  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. John Glenn is coming into the  match on  a  five-game losing streak.
John Glenn fought the good fight in their extra-innings  game against Philo  on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Electrics by a score of  5-4. That's two games in a row now that the Little Muskies have lost by  just one  run.
  Zane Townsend made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Carter Merry, who  went 1-for-2 with two  RBI.
Meanwhile, Meadowbrook beat Maysville 5-1  on Wednesday.
 Cohen Miles was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. He  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. He also  tossed  no  earned runs, which is notable because Meadowbrook is 2-1 when he allows at  most  one  earned run, but 5-9 otherwise. Miles was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 In other batting news, Meadowbrook let  Braylon Lowery and  Landon Khune run wild. Lowery  went 1-for-4 with three  stolen bases and one  run, while  Khune  went 2-for-3 with one  run and one  double. That's the most  hits  Khune has posted since back in April.
 Meadowbrook  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. They are  a perfect 5-0 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
 John Glenn's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Meadowbrook, their record is now 7-10.
 John Glenn couldn't quite get it done against Meadowbrook when the teams last played  back in May of 2024 as they fell  11-8. Can the Little Muskies avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
