Basketball Recap: Southampton Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

Southampton had won five straight road games dating back to last season and Alex Franklin did his part to make it six on Thursday. The Southampton Mariners took down the Bayport-Blue Point Phantoms 78-64 thanks in part to Franklin, who posted 28 points. His afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Southampton's victory bumped their record up to 12-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southampton will head out to face off against Pierson at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Southampton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests. As for Bayport-Blue Point, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Southampton at 6:00 p.m. on January 27th.
