Softball Recap: Hopkins Takes a Loss

Hopkins lost against Otsego on Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hopkins Vikings fell just short of the Otsego Bulldogs by a score of 11-9.

Ava Vanderkolk made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Kylie Williams, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Hopkins' loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Otsego, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hopkins will take on Plainwell at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up.
